Dear Currys, Thank you for using humour to influence consumer behaviour with your recent “See it. Feel it. Try it. IRL ad” – it gave me a real laugh.
This gives me a genuine reason to head into one of your stores…where, as I think you know, I might buy something else, I might build a bit of a rapport with a staff member and therefore a deeper relationship with your brand, where I won't expect next-day free delivery / free return-delivery, and your oh-shit-the-expensive-retail-estate-justifying-footfall-KPIs might be nudged upwards. All good stuff.
And thanks for demonstrating so clearly that human truths – and insight in general - can come from multiple difference places…in this instance from one of your own, General Manager Jo: “But once they see experience seeing, feeling and trying the tech, it makes such a difference.” Simple. And true.
Thank you for having (I hope and think you do?) a front-line staff closeness programme.
Or if you don't, thank you for being close enough to the humans in your eco-system (be that staff or customers) to know that people actually do benefit from seeing, feeling and trying the tech for themselves. And thanks for being able to tell that story with humour.
Thanks again. The lady with the hairdryer puffing in the mouth in particular made me laugh. Ned
